A woman’s neighbour was just concerned that her mailbox is always left open. He reminded her to close them, considering the rampant mail thefts in their area at the time. He keeps sending her emails to remind her to close her mailbox. 

However, the woman did not take it well and sent emails to her other neighbors claiming that she is being harassed by the man.

Hence, the man sued for defamation as he felt humiliated and ridiculed by the harassment claims. 

The court sided with the man and ordered the woman to pay him $120K in damages.
