It all started when The Sunday Telegraph ran a story on 11 August 2019. The story showed a photo of Daniel Johns leaving a brothel. The article described the brothel as specialising in “brown showers”, and “adult babies.” The brothel was identified to be The Kastle. 

Johns immediately issued a statement on his Facebook page vehemently denying that he visited a brothel. The owner of the The Kastle also denied that Johns has ever been in their place. 

Johns said in his statement that the story was ‘hurtful, humiliating and damaging’ to both himself and his family. Now, he is commencing defamation proceedings.
